Well?

picked up a 6 pack of it tonight.  never had it.  Usually I consider anything I can't get at the gas station to be a craft beer.  Had to go to Meijer to grab some food items and saw this there so decided to try it.  Not bad

Man, that butchering of the name. Stella Artois (not Artoys). [friendly ribbing]

I would say no, craft beer should be small-batch. Also craft beer generally is garbage. [drops mic]

NO, it is very much a mass market beer. Some places it is called Wifebeater and it's cheap as hell. That being said, I will drink one from time to time.

Not even a little bit, it's like the Budweiser of Europe. My English friends say it's nicknamed "wifebeater".

I like it, but it is absolutely NOT a craft beer.

As a fan of fine Belgian Ales such as St. Bernardus, A'Chouffe, Kasteel, Orval, Rochefort, etc, I still enjoy a Stella from time to time, solely because they're refreshing.

It's disgusting skunk beer.

Seriously... green bottle?   You put beer in dark glass bottles so they aren't exposed to light.   Exposure to light turns beer skunky.

Or are there weirdos out there that actually like skunky beer?

If only there was a way to open a dialogue box and type in what you think the spelling is, and that program was able to predict what it thinks you mean and suggests the spelling it thinks is correct in a highlight-able manner, that you can then search to ensure it is infarct the correct spelling.

Stella is known in the British Army as "Stella I'll twat ya", a play on the Artois part of the name. In other words Stella is a strong beer, the UK soldiers getting tanked and then go home a beat the wife.   Personally I like Stella but can't stand those 11oz bottles,

If you prefer Ales maybe that's why Stella isn't your thing.

I love lagers and pilsners so I love Stella.  The green bottle complaint is legit though.  I get tradition but man it sucks to buy a 12 pack, open the case, and find out its skunked.

Always great on tap though.

Lol at the Bud Weiser comments.  In bev owned stella and merged with A-B and now imports it to the US.  They don't make it.

Had my first in England years ago and thought it tasted great. When it came to America, I was shocked to see they sold it in 11.2 oz bottles and cans. REALLY, you going to fuck us out of .8 oz per container? No thanks!

And Westvleteren is made with 20% sugar.  Adjuncts have no bearing on the quality of a beer.

my former neighbor was a widely experienced in fine wines, beers, and spirits as part of his profession.
he always laughed at the Stella commercials where it was presented as something special. He referred to it as "blue collar swill" or something like that.

the old original Stella was a pretty good import, drank a lot of it in Europe.
Now its just re-labled budweiser.
