Seriously, for all the drama from the left about trying to switch votes away from Trump, I laughed my ass off after seeing Hitlery losing more votes.

The smaller states would have never agreed to election by popular vote only, it ensures they have a voice.

Because there are still very valid reasons for allowing a faithless elector: Death and inelilagability. We generally would prefer substituting rather than raising the running mate.
