I've been thinking of getting one and this one is on woot Here

It a Yuneec 4K typhoon for $499.

I'm not going to be doing any pro level stuff with it but just looking at it as a fun toy. Is it a turd and I should look elsewhere or a buy at $499?

TIA for any advice.

Start off with a less expensive one.  You will crash it in the learning process

those are good drones, compete, somewhat unevenly, with the DJI Phantom III's.  A lot of people love the Yuneec drones,  that's a screaming price. I almost bought one a year ago for 3-4 times that.

I used to fly real helicopters so I hope it gives me a little bit of an advantage but doubt it will
