High taxes and cost of living, particularly in and around the cities. Terrible gun laws, which have been covered here in depth. Drought.
Apart from not being able to own the guns you want and having to pay a lot for the privilege, all while watching every drop of water that comes out of your tap California is pretty nice. |

Very generous welfare if your a loser.
Very high sales taxes Very high income taxes Crappy traffic jams High property values Very strict air pollution laws Cops are exempt of gun laws, even retired 25% of all drivers in California have no auto insurance Helmet laws Leash laws Lots of homeless bums Lots of cops Prop 47! High population, almost ungovernable....thus need more laws to control And this is off the top of my head.... But I highly encourage all losers and scum to move to California, it's a wonderful place to live if you don't want to work and are a criminal. |

Im here visiting in rural California and i just fucking love it. I grew up here. But im far from people.
Just me and the almond trees. My dad collects early 70s ford trucks so hes largely immune to the smog laws. Get near a city though and it just plain sucks. |

There are rules for fucking everything to keep us safe from ourselves.
The county even has a 15 mph speed limit for mountain bikes on the local hills, it's insane. I've written off anything that isn't on BLM or deep forest land. |

It's winter break(surf) and it would be nice if was in June. People, miles and miles of people...needs to be scraped. Building condos over 40ft. thick of black silt topsoil farm ground should be punishable by death, an oil rig is ok though

Houses cost too much The politics are way too far left. I mean they keep reelecting fricking Nancy Pelosi! Gun laws obviously "Homeless" are treated like sacred cows Weather sucks in San Francisco (I've frozen watching 4th of July fireworks) I worked there for five years and commuted from Florida, people would ask me why I didn't move there, see above for my answer. |

Easily replaced in numbers by foreigners. Real estate demand is still strong. |

But CA pays out more in fed taxes than it receives! Sorry Fed spending on ss, medicare and defense means fuck all when measuring a states economic health. |
