Anyone shoot one of these before? Are they good shooters? I would be all over it if it had the full military stock configuration but its still pretty cool.

I saw one come up on auction a while back and I'll admit a bolt action 45/70 caught my attention. I read somewhere the magazine couldn't be loaded from the top, and I didn't want to buy it to find out for sure myself.

Got one now and have owned a couple more through the years. Mine have been accurate and fun to shoot...but they tend to shoot a bit high in my experience. I use the factory iron sights because...well...its a 45-70.
Fun gun and hell on deer and hogs too. |
