Any suggestions for a range finder for less than a couple hundred bucks? Mainly need something to range landmarks when I set up for coyote calling (I suck at estimating ranges). Something with 500 yard capabilities would probably be sufficient.

The  higher priced Sig Kilos do well, maybe try the kilo850.

Nikon 1200 or a bushy 1600.  Much less then that and it will take big landmarks to get a reading.  My radius has spoiled me, being able to get a range to 1100 on deer.

If you want reliable 500 yards on animals, my experience has been that you really will need a range finder that advertises twice that range.
If you can stretch your budget to $350, the Sig KILO2000 is a great little range finder.
