yup...just tried leaving to go meet a relative for breakfast in King of Prussia (~ 1 hour from me) and than hit up a gun show after that.  Drove about 2 miles and said fuck that noise and went back home.  Not worth it..Think I'll just go play Battlefield 1 and get my ass kicked by 12 year olds.

I'm trying to decide if I should shovel now while it's mostly just light powder or wait.

Sleet I can tolerate.  Because I don't have to shovel it.

Snow?  Hate it.

Pennsylvania- They come for the sleet, but they stay for the slush.

Fires lit.

Bacon's on the grill.

Pancakes dropping in 5-4-3-2......

My one dog, with arthritis, was skidding around on the ice nonsense on top of the grass. I shoveled the walk to get him out. Still two more, who are sleeping in bed still, to go.

in the process of remodeling our second home. Woke up early to get a jump on the day, walked outside at 6 and walked right back in again. Now its supposed to snow later. Tuna on toast for lunch and dinner, reload some .243, drink some beer and look for a dog to adopt. That's my day, and it sounds ok.

I'm sitting Dulles, waiting to fly back to Dallas (only because my flight yesterday was cancelled).

Dulles is shut down cuurently, but I did make it a point to drive here about 430am, before the sleet hit.

The sleet and freezing  rain wasn't a problem.  However, now that our power is out too, it's a bit annoying.

I'll be getting the fireplace going shortly.  I'll hold out on the generator for a bit, but it's gassed up and ready to go if we need it.

Really looking forward to a trip to Florida

Its a slushy mess in Central Bucks but not bad.  I ran out to the post office about an hour ago - thin layer of ice on everything but very wet, temps were about 27F.  The "ice shell" came right off my truck when I pushed on it.  Its sleeting a bit now.  Just a big, dreary, wet mess of a day.

Went out this morning at 7:30 to get a hair cut and the roads were covered but my Accord was fine.  But.....my fellow Pennsylvanians can no longer drive in winter weather.  I need to just calm down and deal with it.

The four seasons in Pennsylvania: Summer, Frozen Slop, Mud, and Deer.

ETA - is anyone going to Oaks today?  I was planning to, looked out the window and said "fuck it".

 Never heard that one b4.

Nope, not going to Oaks.  Too far a drive, and we get regular (admittedly smaller ) funshows locally.

Same thing here in central OH.  All the snow is melting but not before it froze up  overnight to create black ice conditions all over the roads. Sloppy as hell and now freezing rain comin right up next.  Back to the polar vortex tonight I guess....ugh lovely! (not)

It was in the single digits in the Chicago area two days ago, and it's now in the low 60s in Nashville. My sinuses are so confused right now.

Yeah, here in Montco it's about 1/2 thick with rain falling on it.
I guess Oaks will have to wait for tomorrow, when it's supposed to almost 60!
