how many miles per tank can they go?
View Quote

They have pretty good range, all on internal fuel.  They can go as far as an F-16 with wing and belly tanks.  Israel's enemies have a whole new problem confronting them with this bird.  It is said to be 2.5 times that of a clean F-16, or about 1200 miles, giving a combat radius of about 600 miles.  The Navy's C-version will go 200 miles further, or 100 miles better combat radius than the A model.

Of course, it probably does better than that, as the actual range and combat radius is classified.  You'll have to check Hillary's server to get the real number.

600 nm range is more than enough to reach Natanz from the persian gulf.  Just sayin'.

I doubt they will choose to make them more visable to radar and IRST.

No wonder the F16 beats it in dogfights. The F16 was below and behind it the entire time.

There is no chance that the actual price is that low.

No.  They were racing to the snackbar.  The F35 was winning.

To me 4gen fighter are more sexy than 5gen. In term of coolness F-15,F-16>F-22,F35 and SU-27,MiG-29>PAK-FA.

I thought the F35 was grounded for engine fire issues?
