Anyone have one? Would you trust it for self defense?

I've got a couple hundred rounds through mine. It's been completely reliable so far.

Drove 3 hours to get one for the 18 year old.  Absolutely.  I have the Gen 1 in .40", it's my murse gun, companion to my CC Glock 23.

It's just a simple blowback action, nothing to go wrong.

These folks have upgraded trigger springs, etc.  There's also a rotating forend if you want to throw a red dot or LER scope on the forend, and then rotate it out of the way to fold - made by Red Lion Precision.

For 18-20 year olds, it's probably the best thing going as long as your state doesn't have a prohibition against concealed rifles.

Across Gen 1 & Gen 2, Glock, SIG 226, Beretta 92/6, & S&W 59/M&P mags, depending on what your existing carry pistol is.

I had the G17 model and it was flawless.   It folds down nicely and was pretty accurate with all things being considered.  That being said, I got bored with it and traded towards another purchase.

Mine's been reliable after about 500 rounds.  Choked once on a jacked-up reload.  Not quite life trusting worthy but close.

I have a gen 2 that takes G17 mags. I haven't shot it much, probably a little less than 500rds, some suppressed, some not. I don't think I've had a single failure out of it.

At least they seem to be getting them out there.  Went to a GS yesterday and there were quite a few of them.

Hmm good question.

My gen 2 has been dead nuts reliable, but for some reason I don't think I'd trust it for defense. Maybe because in my mind it is just a fun range toy. I have an EVO Carbine that I'd grab before my Sub2k.

I may make it a sort of backpack gun of sorts one day, though.

I love the gun, though.

Mine only has about 400rds through it but has been flawless. I keep mine in a $20 Husky brand briefcase behind my seat at work with a few 33rd mags.

I wasn't sure how much I would like it, but honestly dollar for dollar it's one of the best gun purchases I've made recently.

I wouldn't take it to war but i damned sure use it for home defense. 900-ish rounds through mine, not one malfunction.

I picked the G22 mag version up about 4 weeks ago.  No malfunction so far.  So yes!

I have an early Gen 2.  It's lasted all this time - got it during the AWB.  Carry it everyday in my murse w/ the spare Glock 23 mags.

Haven't shot mine yet, babies keeping me busy.  Seems simple and solid based on just playing with it.

Mine (Gen 1) has never failed in any way whatsoever.  And during the post-SH ammo desert, I was running some real shit .40 thru it.

There's a Gen 2 out?  Fucking shit.  This means my Gen 1 won't work anymore.  Looks like it's time for an upgrade

Yea it is nice.

I'm not sure why they say to mount it in the 3rd slot and have to keep the bolt locked back with that stupid string safety. As you can see it fits just fine in the 2nd slot with the bolt forward.

I think I got it al lanbos for a good price.

I had a Gen 1 .40 cal  I sold it to fund a build.  I will buy another in 9mm Glock when I get the chance.  I would definitely go for the Gen 2

Only issue I had with the first one was the front sight was off and adjusting it was screwy.  It was dead reliable and ate everything I threw at it.

Mine was a great fold up backpack gun.

First thing I did was ditch that pink plastic crap and get the RLP front sight.  My sight was straight but I had problems getting a picture with it.

When you see one in the configuration you want, buy it then.  These regularly sell for more than MSRP.

Handled a G22 version at the LGS last night. It felt solid. What is a good price for a 9mm G17 version?
