I saw him trying to prepare the field for the next 4 years. Look at the first and clearly planted question that was asked and the rehearsed answer. He hardly let the reporter ask the damned question before the answer came spewing out.
They have had the MSM and almost the entire message delivery system in this country in their back pocket for a long time. They have consolidated their control and power in that area over the last 8-10 years to the point where the media is really now just an arm of the DNC. Because of the email hacks (who ever was behind it doesn't really matter...) they have lost a lot of this control through the loss of the media's credibility. The corruption exposed through the emails unmasked the media's true relationship with the Democrats and with the American people. That is why they are really pushing hard for the "fake news" narrative. Discredit all that they can not control and shape. Herd the lost sheep back into the fold of the "real news" and the approved story. They need this messaging power for the next for years because they have lost the political power of the reigns of the government. Most of the news conference revolved around this subject.
