An unusual crappy day at work made me want to stop at my friendly neighborhood gun store on the way home. I picked up a 25th anniversary bushy. For some strange reason, I was drawn to it's nickel plated bling bling accoutrements. Now I need more optics.

I could never own a weapon with that many "highlights". To me it looks as ridiculous as those "commerative" rifles that are advertised in magazines... especically when it is done to a black rifle. It is not even a pre-ban, to boot!

Hickboy, in non-communist states we don't have to wait ten days for the unecessary bureaucrats to decide whether we get a gun. Here in Missouri we can even buy them at, gasp, gunshows! And walk out with them the same day!

Its kind of amazing that society hasn't collapsed in the mid-west because of this. Oh wait, that's cause we are all too busy staring as we watch it collapse in YOUR part of the world.

Well you are going to hate this, I have went into a store and walked out with a gun in less than 15 minutes here in Colorado. Our checks go through the CBI (Colorado Bureau of Investigations) so it is even faster and no waiting periods. [nana]

Being as I generally suck when it comes to hitting anything with a pistol.......this was at 7 yards. I was still impressed being that the gun is 47 years old.

You bet I'm gonna shoot it. I haven't bought a gun yet to just look at. It's 350 out of 1500, and I don't think it has enough bling on it to make me look like a pimp [;)]. It's just a little different from the others in the safe.

Here in Texas if you have a CHL they don't even do a background check. I can walk out with a gun as fast as I can fill out the yellow form and pay the money, so about 5 minutes.

Cool, is the white metal a chrome, or stainless? If it's stainless a brush, or bead job would help tone it done just a little for tactical reasoners, but I doubt you bought it for that. Congrats on adding to your collection.

Oh yeah.....

BigT, very nice. I don't own any of the fancied up weapons out there but I can appreciate them when I see them. When I first saw one of those rifles I thought it looked sharp. Have fun with it.
