South African ammo in the battle packs is the only type I use. It's not really dirty. It is a hot and I have never had any problems with it. The best thing is thats it's really cheap to use as plinking ammo. Hope I helped.

I burned through 1,400 rds of 7.62 FMJ S. African; maybe 1 misfire at most.  hotter than chi-com; much much cleaner than that WOLF garbage.

Thanks for the info, guys.

I posted the same question on another board and the general consensus is the same.

At 130 bucks for a thousand rounds of brass cased, boxer primed ammo, it's worth the investment to me.
