Just watched 60 mins and the piece on mental health, gun laws and the unavailability of state mental health records for proper processing BEFORE a firearms purchase. They cite Colin Ferguson, the shooter on the LIRR, as a "mental" case, but were his guns legally or illegally obtained for the commission of that act?

The only thing I ever heard was that his guns were purchased legally in CA but he illegally imported them into NYC or something like that.

Thank you. The report did NOT make it clear that he WAS diagnosed mentally ill before he purchased those firearms.

That can't be true. All the illegal guns in NYC come from the South. Just ask the antis about the 'gun expressway'.

That is exactly as I remember it. Too bad NYC does not have CCW (If you are "connected" you can). An armed rider on this train could have stopped this scum dead in his tracks.

As a former NY'er I watch my former state, the LI people have re-elected Rep. McCarthy about 4 times. What's with that??? Her husband gets killed and she gets elected and re-elected on that ANTI-GUN thing? Not getting that at all. What other political contributions has she made to her voters? I haven't seen anything. What ever it is they still vote for her.
