Gonna go look more seriously at one in the morning.  Online reviews seem to be pretty good, and they want a decent price on it also.

It's a 1998 model with 96xxx miles on it.  Any opinions?

my friend has a 2001, and hates it, has had a lot of problems under warranty, and has had to fight dodge to get em to fix it

I have a 97, and it has been "ok". If I had to do it over I would look elsewhere. Just my $.02

I had a Ram 1500, 1998 4x4 with the 318. Mickey Mouse problems pissed me off so I went back to a Jeep Wrangler.

No more Dodge for me unless it's a Viper.   [}:D]

98' is a little old. That should still be the square body. They flogged the S10/Ranger/T100 though.

We have a 2001 V6 4x4 and it ROCKS. No complaints. But its the new body.
