I want to convert my pump shotgun to one that is still LEGAL (non-AOW) but handy.

I plan to put a pistol grip on it and cut the barrel down to 18" +/-. Will this still be in violation of NFA regulations? Or do I have to put a full buttstock on the shotgun?

18"+ barrel, 26" overall.

My 18 1/4"barreled 870 with a pistol grip was legal.

Shotguns must have a barrel length of 18" and an overall length of 26".
