I was going up the stairs wearing a pair of sandals with a big ass load of groceries and stubbed my toe yesterday.  It didn't hurt too much then but, today it is throbbing and turning all different shades of black and blue.
Plus the embarassment of falling up the stairs with neighbors watching.
Other than wanting to share my clumsiness with you, I was wondering which is better for this type of injury  ..  Ice or heat?  Which should I apply to this?

Ice when yah did it.  Now Warm and cold treatments.  Cold when you do something helps reduce swelling, keeps things tight and makes it feel better.  Now the warm treatment will loosen things up, help blood flow and keep the bruises from getting too bad.  Cold will help it feel better.

Whoever toldja a hammer would work is wrong.  Ya wanna take vise grips and pull on the nail while twisting with a wrench to get everything realigned.
