A "pint" glass is 16oz.
Was this a 16oz glass with a stem? If so, I've not heard of one of those yet. Now, 12oz / 10oz snifter style glasses are very common for higher abv beers. Pic of glass? |

Any stemmed glass will be higher than a comparable non-stemed glass.
The increase in elevation means it will rotate faster. Since it is moving faster, time dilation will occur, not much, but it is there. Best to drink from a low profile unstemmed glass. |

Eisbock and maibock are to be served in a flute Porter and doppelbock in a stem glass Scotch ales and farmhouses in a thistle Barleywine, imperial stout, quads, mead in a snifter |

I lived in Germany 3 years (2 in the Army, one on the economy) and I tried numerous kinds of beers. I don't recall ever getting served one in a glass with a stem.
Back when I did drink, it was mainly just to get drunk, so I couldn't care less what the glass looked like. |

Those aren't pint glasses. They may or may not hold a pint of beer. They may or may not be the appropriate glasses for the beer you're drinking. But they ain't pint glasses.
