That actually has a purpose.  Last time I checked, I wasn't trying to induce women to suck on my patella.

Not that there's anything wrong with that.

I think a man full on shaving his legs is GAF....but trimming up for an exceptionally hairy man is not. Especially if dude lives in a hot climate and is exceptionally hairy.
I used to shave my ex's back. He looked like he was wearing footy jammies made of hair.
There's nothing sexy about back hair.
He used to take the clippers to his legs to knock down the foliage every now and again.
Since you fellas collectively have decided women should remove 80% of their body hair to be pleasing to you....than I think it's perfectly fine that ya'll start spending some time getting all that nasty hair you guys have in order.
You can't act grossed out if a chick doesn't have the perfectly coiffed landing strip when you come to the "table" with a mega pube briar patch going on.
Same goes for legs.....and do something about the back. Wax that shit or something.
If you have a pelt on your chest...a semi annual trim is a good idea. *Some* chest hair is sexy.....enough to braid is not.

Not acting like a childish angry dickhead is a much better way to get what you want.
Hair on your balls has very little to do with it.
Generally we do it to make you happy because you've made us happy.
Again...has very little to do with hair.

I wasn't referring to attracting women and getting them interested, rather getting them to spend more time once they've made the move.  If I want her to pay attention to more than just the Upright Citizen, I have to make the Brigade more welcoming.

You spend as much time as you need to.....depends what the ultimate outcome is supposed to be. No pun intended.

I manscape.  For a variety of reasons.  Mostly in the bedroom but 50% of the guys here wouldn't understand that.

I used to full on shave in my triathlon days.  Shaving legs was a pain in the ass.  Felt nice in pants and in bed though.

Yeah, no.  Women pretty much drive fashion choices in that they are competing with each other. Men are just as affected by trends as women.  For instance, the attractiveness of very thin model types can't really be explained by the reproductive drive - those women would have much worse odds of carrying to term, etc. than someone with more meat (and fat) on her bones.

The idea that men have somehow collectively "decided" that women should shave their armpits, legs, pubic hair, etc. is like saying that women collectively decided that car manufacturers should sell minivans instead of station wagons.  Individuals make choices; when enough of them make similar choices, the market reacts.

If you have a really good toned physique, body hair really obscures definition. So it's not just body builders, but fitness models or just about any one who wants
to show off "their cuts".

If you're a couch potato, shaving still makes you look like a couch potato.

I was speaking more of pubic hair. That trend was spurred by porno.
Arm pits and legs have been the norm every since I can remember.
The bikini shave maybe. But the full bald cooter is a trend that def started with porn. Since porn is so invasive in our daily culture, yes, it has become very popular.
Gay porn is where the fully shaved balls and anus comes from, btw.
Let that sink in.

I would have let this thread go by, as I only answered it earlier out of momentary boredom.
But, I am watching toddlers in tiaras as background noise.....and it strikes me; we've become a society who has over sexualized very young girls (and boys), while at the same time following a trend of removing genital hair from adults.
Let that sink in, too.

Feminizing males, over sexualizing young children, all while making adult genitalia look prepubescent.

I am not a heavy "end times" person....but it does seem that some things have gotten seriously off track.

Its not us, its nature that has decided that women are far less hairy than men therefore a women that looks hairy or a man that looks as if he lacks hair, cant grow beard etc just looks more femenine and less natural.

One time I worked in a shop that was really hot. I shaved one leg to see if it would help. When the stubble started to grow back it was 10x worse than the leg that had hair. It was sweaty and itchy and sticking to my pant leg. I keep the hair on my stomach trimmed or else it get's caught in my belt buckle and pulls.

While there is an argument to be made about the image of prepubescence, I can offer a counter argument similar to my point about shaving the the twig and berries. As an enthusiastic advocate of "licking it before sticking it", I'm much more likely to spend more time down there when there is more exposed surface area. It's like navigating across a rolling landscape with undulating features, versus making one's way through a narrow ravine surrounded by an inhospitable forest. One will arrive at the destination in either case, but the quality of the journey is completely different.

Which, I would also argue, is female driven at root. As women have demanded sexual equality, oral reciprocity has become the norm. When the standard was for the guy to stick it in and the gal to think of England, pubic hair was irrelevant. Now that women are able to say "Get me off!", men have had to learn to do so. And it's easier to play ball when the field is trimmed low.

Feminizing males, over sexualizing young children, all while making adult genitalia look prepubescent.

I am not a heavy "end times" person....but it does seem that some things have gotten seriously off track.
One small sliver being pubic hair...and the open discussion of it.

That's a nonsense argument. Only recently did the US become non-puritanical in how we view sex (still rather mild compared to many places though).

When you get a population of people that finally realize that sex isn't a bad thing, and it is to be enjoyed, it only makes sense that people will groom for it.

No one enjoys picking pubes out of their teeth or trying to get one off a tonsil for two hours. Keeping things trimmed up makes the whole experience more fun and more approachable when trying out new things.

Bicyclists also do it, not for speed, but so that when they crash and get road rash the bandage removal isn't hell.

This is true but more importantly on a daily basis it's for the massages we had to have to recover our legs and ride again tomorrow.

Hate to tell folks this...but it feels awesome in the sheets too.

That said; shaving your legs is a PITA and if you nick yourself behind your knee you will bleed for ever!

FHRC....and haters.
