No heat, no ac? I can live without ac fairly well, since I only turn it on for a short time when discomfort moves toward the level of pain, in reference to heat.
Cold, on the other hand, is something I HATE. |

I LIVE for PAIN. I built a house out of my own FECES. I store rainwater in a sack made from the SINEW of my neighbors. I make WARHAMMERS out of the skulls LIONS. I built a rocket propelled GRENADE from a toaster.

I have solar power, well water, and a propane generator in an isolated mountain cabin with thirty days of provisions. If I lose the house, I am so screwed. I hate the cold. |

I PT regardless of the weather (okay, I won't run if it is raining hard). I have been running in the 100+ weather at lunch lately. While seemingly insane, bad things don't happen when it nice outside. Some of the worst, most dangerous situations I have been in were accompanied by crap weather conditions. Be prepared for the worst, and more than once, in real-life worst-case scenarios, Ihave thought "this is easier than training."

I work in the extreme heat, as well as extreme cold year round. So pretty used to both.
I know how to hunt. Know how to fish. Can build a fire out of wet wood. And can throw up a makeshift shelter if need be. No I don't practice "REAL SHTF". But I have practiced many of the "skills" enough to feel pretty confident in my abilities. |

I try to practise good operational security in my day to day life. Info leakage is always a bad thing. Every family vacation is a bug out dry run.

Cold is not problem. I used to winter camp a lot in sub-zero weather. Just dress for it and bring matches and a warm sleeping bag.

Cold is not a problem for me, I'm from Siberia, and still feel quite at home in rediculously cold weather.
Heat's(above freezing) what I prefer though, Anything under 115 or so, and I'm OK (75'ish and im happy as a clam) (just wear something long or SPF 95 because i get sun-burns from being out and dry for a half hour at most). Then again, SHTF, ill be in a pick-up with a load of supplies in the back, and plenty of fuel. So weather isnt a problem. |

Shooting wise I try to get out in all weather.Snow,rain and shine,which in Ohio you can do all in one day.I have shooting buddies load dummy rounds in my mags to work on jam clearing.But I do need to work on field craft and urban.

Now that I'm on summer vacation I hike regularly during the heat of the day. I've found that the heat makes me most uncomfortable when I'm around my house and have the luxury of air conditioning. Once I'm out in the boonies it's really not that big of an issue, just keep water with you.
