OK, remember that preban HBar that was giving me trouble, major feed problems? I decided to just send it to the experts.

Colt polished the feed ramp, replaced a carrier key and shipped it back. NO CHARGE.

Pretty good for a 20 year old rifle with a 1 year warranty.

Still kinda picky with mags. USGIs do not feed at all, but factory Colt 30 rounders feed without issue. I think the Hbars might be more fussy than the other models.

I'm glad you had a good experience Styer..

My last dealing with their custom shop was downright shitty.  Expensive too!

Never again.

My H-bar has never failed to fire when I have pulled the trigger.  Ever.

actually the shorties are the fussy ones for feeding they like to tip the bullet down in front smacking it under the feed ramps. This is where the Colt M4 feed ramps came from . you can do this yourself easily with a dremel stone and a bit of work.

I'm experiencing the exact opposite.

My carbines will feed anything (even USA mags). But my HBar is tipping the round down out of USGIs and smacking it into the bottom of the feed ramp.

M-60:

That band around the stock sure would look a lot like the french flag if seen from the other side of the rifle...

I know someone that sent back a set of M4 handguards that didn't have the gas tube notch cut out. They did a half-assed dremel job that looked like shit. He sent the handguards back again with a letter of complaint, but this time got a brand new set of handguards hand picked off the line from the head of Colt LE/Mil sales and letter of apology. I guess the guy at Colt thought he was dealing with a dissatisfied customer who was a fed, mjtf, state doj, or something like that.

I broke the detent spring for the rear push-pin on my Match Target Lightweight, while fooling around with the buttstock.  I called Colt to order a new one, because it was my fault it broke, and they just sent me a new one absolutely free.

Polished the feed ramp? For FMJ? There goes the hard chrome, IMO.

Last time I looked, there was no hard chrome on the feed ramps.

But then, my Colt is 30+ years old. Maybe they're chroming the feed ramps now. Hmmmm.

Ten years ago, I sent my Colt Diamondback revolver under warranty for a fix it repair, it took them 2 months. Glad they are improving.

This statement is totally contradictory.  All factory Colt 30-round mags are USGI mags.  Colt mags are just Okay Industries magazines that get the floorplates stamped "Colt" instead of the floorplates stamped "Okay."

By "USGI" I meant Center, Adventure, Sanchez, etc., none of which work.
