actually the shorties are the fussy ones for feeding they like to tip the bullet down in front smacking it under the feed ramps. This is where the Colt M4 feed ramps came from . you can do this yourself easily with a dremel stone and a bit of work.

I had a used Colt M4 upper receiver which I got in a trade that had misaligned feed ramps. I had a new replacement in a week, free of charge, after they received the defective upper. Things are changing for the better with the new management.

My carbines will feed anything (even USA mags). But my HBar is tipping the round down out of USGIs and smacking it into the bottom of the feed ramp. |

Polished the feed ramp? For FMJ? There goes the hard chrome, IMO.
Service is nice but it should not have shipped that way in the first place, again, IMO. Makes you wonder about any "unfired" preban anymore. My 6530 W/collapsable stock (my 1st and only AR project)has been fired just enough to make sure it worked with some really rotten Chinese ammo...no complaints. I think maybe your dealer status helped out a bit too. But it should still function 100% with any original spec mag, 20 or 30 rounders, anything less is not a good thing. (I'm full of opinions today!) |

I know someone that sent back a set of M4 handguards that didn't have the gas tube notch cut out. They did a half-assed dremel job that looked like shit. He sent the handguards back again with a letter of complaint, but this time got a brand new set of handguards hand picked off the line from the head of Colt LE/Mil sales and letter of apology. I guess the guy at Colt thought he was dealing with a dissatisfied customer who was a fed, mjtf, state doj, or something like that.

I broke the detent spring for the rear push-pin on my Match Target Lightweight, while fooling around with the buttstock. I called Colt to order a new one, because it was my fault it broke, and they just sent me a new one absolutely free.

Ten years ago, I sent my Colt Diamondback revolver under warranty for a fix it repair, it took them 2 months. Glad they are improving.
