The best kind of game that might benefit you right now may be found in your local newspaper classified ads. I suggest you check those before devoting any time to computer gaming. I see unemployed people online here all the time, and it drives me nuts to see them wasting perfectly good job hunting time. Do most of you guys hate earning money for a living?
My system:
Get a binder with folder, and blank paper. Put copies of your typed resume in one folder. Make an Excel spreadsheet listing computer software, operating systems, etc., and how proficient you are with their use rated on a 1-5 scale. Make it look pretty, and print out several copies, put them in the other folder.
Make another Excel spreadsheet as a master copy for you holding the following information:
High School Name, Address, Phone, GPA, etc..
College Name, Address, Phone, Advisor Name, Major, GPA.
Technical School Name, Address, Phone, Advisor Name, Program Name, GPA.
Job information:
Company name, Job title, Address, Phone, Manager/Supervisor name, Start date, End date, Salary info, etc. for ALL companies you worked at. (Even if it's over 20 jobs)
Keep this second sheet for your own master copy, and update it every time you get a job. This will help you when you're applying for a job, and they ask for pointless information, and it looks more professional since you don't leave anything blank...
Write down the company names, addresses, phone numbers, and names of HR personnel/Supervisors that you got when applying. Keep this list on the blank sheets of paper in the binder. Spend 2 or 3 days just going around applying for (ask them for openings, apply even if they say there are none) jobs you might find to be fun (write their info on the paper). Wait 2 days at home for phone calls. If after 2 days nobody has called, go down the list, call them ALL back, ask them about if there are any openings (again), and write results of phone calls on the pages in the binder.
In EVERY case, if I've had the time to do this system, (like in the summer time), I have ALWAYS gotten a job in under 1 or 2 weeks. During the school year it's a different story because I can't just go out & devote all my time to job-searching.
This system I developed was all because of my parents. Every time I went home in the summer without a job they'd nag me ALL THE F@#KING TIME, "Why don't you have a job yet!?" "Stop sitting on your A$$ all day long & get out to beat the streets for a job!!!" blah blah blah... Under this system I can bring it home with me, and if I hear any bitching I can show them my binder & tell them where to stick it. They're usually impressed, and reply in a positive manner, "Well, at least that looks like you're really trying to get a job... Good."

Getting a job when I have ample time is a breeze for me. Then when I see people online here unable to get a job I wonder what kind of lazy-assed people are out there? If they just got off their butts, hit the streets they WOULD find a job. Rather than sitting at home, blowing all their money on home/gun projects and looking to waste more valuable time shooting zombies on their computer. Leave ARFCOM or open another browser, point that sucker at a good classified ads website, and GET OFF YOUR A$$...

Sorry 'bout my rant, sick of seeing all these unemployed people complaining about not having a job, but then spending countless hours on ARFCOM or playing games... [rolleyes]
