I have been browsing eBay for a crank/solar/battery radio and I haven't found much in the way of brand name info. Anything I should look out for or avoid? The radio doesn't have to pick up short wave if it is going to add a great deal of cost.
thanks,
tony

I have a Beygen Freeplay.
It is both wind up and solar powered.

Q: Suggestions for a crank/solar radio?

A: None. Get yourself a $5 hand-held AM/FM radio that runs on AA cells instead. Drawing less than 10 mA at a comfortable listening level, they'll play for at least two continuous weeks between battery changes.
