SAN BERNARDINO: Driver arrested after woman nearly run over
An 18-year-old San Bernardino man ran over a disabled woman's dog and tried unsuccessfully to run over the woman after the dog barked at the man's van, police said.

About 4 p.m. Saturday, Penny Grant, 59, was walking her dog on the grass median in the 3500 block of Mountain View Avenue in San Bernardino when it barked at the van.

The driver, Clemente Collazo, intentionally drove onto the median and hit the dog, killing it, police said. He then turned the vehicle around and tried to hit Grant, who moved out of the way and was not hurt.

Clemente drove away, but police found and arrested him on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon and cruelty to animals.

Grant was training the dog to be a service dog for the disabled, police said.

What a dipshit!  I agree on the attempted murder charge!  Maybe Aggrivated Assault with a Deadly Weapon?

I think the location is a few blocks from where my grandmother lives... but I'm not too familiar with San Bernardino.

Every now an then, someone rears their twisted little skull in such a way that it becomes obvious that he ought to be killed on the charge of simply being who he is.

This guy is one of them.

You forgot, "And then I turned the vehicle around to see if I could assist the elderly lady and she ran off...."

Wait a second... Where's the story from, and how did the reporter know that he did it intentionally? We all know that reporters never print misleading accounts of a story to make people think that something more interesting happened.
