I hear this term used often.  He's a homebody, or "she's a homebody."

What the hell is a homebody?  Usually I can figure a word out from the context, but I can't in this case.

Maybe some of you people with hip kids can stop counting your money (from the tax rebate) for a minute and let me know.  Maybe I'm out of touch.

I believe homebody is an old term, not a new hip term.  It refers to a person who prefers to stay home over going out and socializing.

I think it's a polite way of calling someone unsociable or even boring - maybe even agoraphobic. [:D]

Maybe "homeboy" is the new gender specific term used in place of homebody by kids? LOL.
