A coworker of mine has started taking Life Extension brand "Life Extension Mix" multivitamins.  The dosage is pretty damn heavy.  Here's a link to the product on their site:

The manufacturer recommends 14 capsules per day which results in the following dosage:

I was always under the impression that any excessvie vitamins you take are simply passed through your urine.  However, could such a high dose actually do you some harm?  Perhaps stress your kidneys?  Or do some of you feel that such high dosages are actually beneficial in some way?

I very briefly scanned around the site...and you are encouraged to become a member etc. etc.  Seems a bit "cultish" to me.
