As an example I bought a SAR-1 for my Dad. Got a great deal at $255. Now I kinda want one myself but just hate spending the $325-$350 everybody is asking. This has happened more than once.

This sort thing happen to anyone else?

It's kind of like that  guy at the gunshow who paid $375 for his SP-1 in 1975 and refuses to pay a dollar more to get another one.[:)]

I know what you mean.
I got a:
Glock 21C (ported barrel & night sights)
a S&W Model 19 4in barrel in .357
a Colt Trooper in .357

All for $650.  Now I'm always looking for a deal where I can buy 3 guns for the price of one!
