The first and second amendments says what it says and should be treated as such. Don't read into it anything that isn't there or interpret it in any other way than what it says.

Lots of foreigners who have now real understanding of our Constitution feel that way. I have two Aussie friends who are completely amazed at our RKBA rights. In fact, these outlanders really don't understand what it means to live in a free society, where an individual's rights are PROTECTED from the state. They fail to understand why we Americans are so "different" from the rest of the [socialist] world, and why we feel so strongly about our individual freedoms. I've tried to explain the roots of our Constitution, the history of the bearing of arms and the basic differences between a subject and a free man...but it flies right over their heads.

We Americans ARE different. I LIKE it that way. We aren't perfect...America isn't Utopia...but it damn well is the best country on this ball and our social experiment is the greatest system of self-governance ever in recorded history.

This weenie...the Aussies...and the rest of the panties-in-a-bunch Euro-pansies can all just kiss my broad, proud, GUN-TOTIN AMERICAN ASS!!!

Pretty much all of the rest of the world thinks that we are degenerate cowboys "without couth", then they all whine that "the Americans should do something about xxxx" when things are seriously out of whack with some stupid tribal warfare conflict somewhere in the world. After it is done, they again whine that we didn't handle it right, and that we should shower them with money to put things back together to their wishes. Like it's our fault that their tribes were fighting over some superstitious belief.
I'm pretty much at the point where my attitude is F*CK them all. Let them continue to carve up, rape and pillage each other. Just keep it there or we walk in, level it all flat then leave and go home.
It's getting old, the world expects us to fix things, but only if we fix things to their expectations, and with their methods. WTF! If their methods worked, they would never be coming to us for help.

Our "old" Laws/Rights/Rules et al. are just fine.

The problem lies in the fact that there are numerous people/organizations who have fucked up our country.

And just because the growing number of us are tired of that shit, makes us "anti-gov'" and/or "extremists" ??? WTF?

Yes, human nature has clearly evolved to the point where everyone is now honest and trustworthy. Our politicians stopped lying to us many years ago. Thus, any distrust of government is most certainly an outmoded concept.

Personally, I don't have any strong feelings on the matter one way or the other, but, quite frankly, don’t really understand what all the fuss is about, because so much other information about ourselves is already registered with federal agencies.

I am in a debate over gun control on another forum. I am up against a Swede. I always seem to end up debating with people from other countries about this stuff and they are a lot like liberals here. You lay out facts and they just go well your right, but what about...... and then I end up shooting that down and finally they agree with me after a long debate. It gets so freaking boring after a while saying the same damn facts to these people. Its like if everyone in the world didn't know how to tie their damn shoes and its up to us to point this glaringly obvious shit out to them. I wish people just researched stuff before they let their emotions control them.
