I have 2 Marlin lever actions... one in 45-70, and the other in .44mag.
I used to hunt woodchucks with the .44mag. I'd sneak through the bean and hayfields like I was a sniper... get close to the chuck hole, and then... well, let's just say a .44 will do a number on a woodchuck. |

I have two, both Marlins, a .44 mag and one in the new .450 round. I shoth the .450 the first time on a 4th of July wearing a t shirt and I could feel the impact on my shoulder for three days. It didn't hurt, I could just feel it like I was holding it too my shoulder. Shot a deer with the big one last season and my ears rang for about 2 hours after.

I've got a Winchester pre-64 94 carbine with a peep sight that I have shot a lot of deer and beavers with. It shoots way better than advertised. I also have a Marlin 39A I bought at a pawn shop that I squirrel hunt with and it is one of my favorites. I've got other levers in 44 mag. I sold my 32 Special Winchester. I wish I had the Winchesters that burned when my grandparent's house burned down.

I have two. A Marlin 30-30, and my pride-and-joy my dad's Savage Model 99F in .358 Win.

Savage Model 99. Best lever action EVER. Way ahead of its contemporaries. Here's my Model 99EG in .250-3000 with Stith-mounted Weaver J2.5.

Two Winchester's. An 1894 in .30-30 and a 9422 XTR in .22 short, long/long rifle. The XTR is beautiful with deep, rich bluing and high gloss hand checked walnut.

Marlin 1895 45-70, Marlin 1894 .44 Mag, Marlin 1894 Cowboy .45 Colt. OK, falling blocks but still lever operated, Sharps 1873 Business Rifle 45-70, Ruger #1B 6mm Rem.
I love the "old guns", I have cowboy holster rigs for matching caliber revolvers for my .44 Mag and .45 Colt lever actions. I shoot the Marlin 45-70 with "hot" smokeless hunting loads, but the 45-70 Sharps is black powder only and a hell of a lot of fun to shoot! I still shoot them as much, maybe even more than my high power rifles! |

my inventory includes:
an winchester '94 big bore XTR .444 marlin outfitted with an AO front tritium bead. a 1962 model winchester '94 30-30 standard model. my next will be a sidekick for my S&W .44 mag..if i can find a well taken care of winchester without that godforsaken safety button. whoever came up with putting a safety on a levergun like the ' 94 should be taken into the town square and flogged. my .444 rocks..low recoil..extensive damage. |

The first big - bore rifle I ever shot and hunted with was my Great Uncle's 1866 Yellow Boy Winchester w/ octagon barrel....Now that was an experience...
After that moved on to the 94 in 30-30... I do not currently have a lever gun , but I think there will always be a place for one in my home (thinkin' about a pistol calibered carbine ) t |

I have a Winchester 1894 Trapper in .357 mag. I think its a great little gun.
My dream lever action? A Winchester 1886 Saddle Ring Carbine in .45-70. Thumper [:D] |
