Just got this months G&A, opened to page 18, and what do I see???  My next Beretta purchase.  This thing is FLIPPING AWESOME!  By far the coolest of the pistol mag carbines to come out so far.  Check it out.  As soon as somebody knows where to get one let me know.

I want one...BAD

I think it is even better looking than my wilson combat 1911 carbine conversion.

I think it is pretty nifty.  Too bad I won't be able to buy one. [:(]

Here's the only price I have ran across so far.

http://store.willsgunshop.com/Qstore/Qstore.cgi?CMD=011&PROD=1054234127

What's the deal with the Cougar 8000 mags?  I was hoping the 92 high caps would work in this carbine. The modified 8000 high caps I ran across were big bucks.

OHHHH that makes me want one more, I want mine in 40 cal though, I think, naw maybe 9mm, hell why not 45, shit what to do, what to do?

I already have one on order,,lol  I have a friend thats a stocking dealer, and whenever they ship I get one to play with.  It looks like they will have a kit that has both a 9mm and 45acp kit in it.  92 mags are cheap and aftermarket 30 rounders are out there, not sure about 45 mags other than it uses 10 round Cougar mags( I think).

I have always liked the pistol/rifle same ammo concept.  I think LEO's should go that way instead of M-16's.  The only problem is nobody makes one of these with interchangable mag wells.  If you made this thing to take whatever mag the issue sidearm used I think it would be useful to all kinds of PD's.

It looks great, but whats with the mag capacity? Its still short even with full capacity.

Given the very real possibility of the AWB sunsetting in 15 months, I think it is somewhat silly to introduce a firearm at this point.  It seems like the stock is an integral part of the frame and not easily replacable if the AWB dies its rightful death.  If it had a pistol grip and folding stock (or the ability to swap out later) I think I'd be more interested.   However, a pistol cal carbine with an ugly butthole stock, in a larger package than a rifle cal w/ a folding stock (that stands a good chance be being able to be legally manufactured again) just isn't very attractive to me.

Well that is the retail, and the guy above is selling them for right around dealer. I was gonna target $100 under as my group buy price.

Btw, the 9mm (92FS) ones will take preban high caps and I even have a source for 30 rounders.

Yes, dealers generally don't pay retail. But the dealer price is hardly a LOT less.

Is it safe to assume that the only difference in the above models is that they accept different mags?  Seems like a bunch of extra machining to offer two different versions of the same caliber.  If that's the case, I'll take the 92.

i could see myself with one of those.  it looks fruity but not nearly as bad as the hipoints or whatever they're called. star wars space shit.

looks kind of like a cross between a hk and something ???? with the rail and aimpoint on it.

I definitely will be in on the group buy.  In the meantime, I have loads of fun with my HiPoint star wars space shit.  It was incredibly cheap, has never ftf or fte, and the holes touch each other at 50 yards with the POS factory sights.  The front post is a bit large for me to be very accurate at 100 yards, but they are all in the same neighborhood.

It is tough to strip for cleaning, but damn near indestructible.  The ten round mag. limit sucks, but the gun is a blast.

For anyone interested, we have made up a few CX4 Storm desktop backgrounds/wallpaper images. They can be downloaded at http://www.willsgunshop.com/berettacx4storm.html .

Also, because of the large amount of pre-orders we've gotten for the CX4 we are now able to offer them at $575.00 rather than $599.00.

Cheers,

Galan

There was a Beretta rep at the training I attended last week. He showed had pics showing 3 mag well inserts beside the gun...? He could not identify them but the inplications are obvious.

It would be great if they were considering having it accept other mfg's mags...

Too golly gee whiz for me. I am a purist I guess. Hell, it is a gun, it will grow on me, they all do!

I'll see what I can do. But keep in mind Beretta has not, and will not, offer sepcial discount pricing on a new item (especially in a approx. 10 gun purchase).

My price will be my dealer cost + s/h to me + s/h to buyer + about 5% for my effort. You may find them at another source a few bucks cheaper, but I feel I'm priced very fair considering I'm a single guy dealer competing with the big online guys. And unlike the other guys, I always come through.

Based upon my expected dealer prices I'm probably gonna be around $600.

Hey SA I could very well be interested in that group buy as well.

BTW some interesting info talking to the guys at the Beretta Gallery, whom I'm in good with, about the CX4. Apparently the storm will not be offered for more than a year or two since most if not all LE are going to .223 subguns/carbines.
