Ticket-chasing-court-watching bail bondsman...

Long story short….
I had a speeding ticket and the court date was set for June 1st.  I decided to take a defensive driving course to drop it off my record…no biggie. I had to send in the required payment to take the class before the court date.  The letter had to be post-marked on or before the court date. I sent in the payment on Friday (certified mail just to be sure the lazy USPS people would not shaft me).
Well I get a frantic call from my better half that I should not drive anywhere unless necessary because…get this…several different bail bonds companies had called to inform me that I had a warrant out for my immediate arrest for failure to appear (which in Texas they CAN arrest you for).  I thought it was a crock, but was not able to calm the spousal unit down easily.
I figured that there was some public record data base that showed who missed court a certain day.  Kinda like when you open a new company and start getting all the credit card offers for your new business that has only been opened for 3 days. I do however have no idea how they got my home number as it’s supposed to be unlisted.  I am really ticked that some rejects would call my home and upset my wife like this. Like I said several companies called and left messages.  I wish there was something legal could do for upsetting my family like this
