I have 2 friends that are 40 years old and just voted for the 1st time in their LIVES!!
Needless to say, I read them the riot act and called them dumbasses. It's unbelievable. I feel guilty that I'm not a better informed voter, and these guys aren't voting at all. |

Pathetic isn't it? I know some of these types. I used to get into discussions with some guys at work about politics and gun laws, until I found out some of them weren't even registered to vote! After that, anytime I heard them bitching about something I would ask if they registered to vote yet. I told them until they register to vote, I don't want to hear any whining so don't waste my time. I even picked up some voter registration cards and handed them out. About the lamest excuse was that they didn't want to serve on jury duty.
But the WORST are the gun-owning hardcore union types who vote for democrats. One guy I know is an NRA Endowment member (that's above Life membership) and he votes for union-recommended democrats! To him it comes down to "my job or my guns." [V] |

Maybe someone should get some voter registration material and head down to the next gun show? Maybe talk the promoter into offering a dollar off admission for a new registration or existing voter registration card?

The author said that the show attendees still wouldn't register to vote and gave some very lame excuses like "I don't want to be on a government list." Whe I get home, I'll look up the article and post some of the info. |
