I'm attending college and I am lucky to have easy access to large supply of thick industrial size toilet rolls in my dorm. I took several out to see what damage a M193 would do. To my surprise it went right through without even budging the roll. Clean channel through and through. I thought that the M193 was suppose to tumble. I'm taking more rolls out tomorrow to see what damage the Winchester 64gr PPP and Winchester Ranger 9mm 127gr +p+ will do. Too bad I don't get physics credit for these ballistic experiments.

It only tumbles if the toilet paper is Charmain. The other stuff scratches its...you know.

Considering their "storage" policy, I would do as many "Physics" test as possible.

A roll of toilet tissue is NOT an equivalent medium to human/animal tissue. Bullets perform very differently depending on the media they pass through.

Wetting some down oughta produce some interesting results. Seems like you'll have little shreds of TP everywhere. Please don't leave a mess in a public place, but let us know how it works out.

If you rally want to be impressed, try this. When I was in college, I took ceramics. I "borrowed" several 25 pound blocks of clay and took it to the range. 55 grn fmj left 8"-12" cavities in the blocks. sometimes, the bullet would travel strait through, sometimes it would exit out of the side of the block, or just open the whole thing up.

try 1 gallon milk jugs, and 2liter coke bottles filled with water.
I've tested bullet expansion with newspaper soaked in water. if it's real wet, you can get perfectly expanded .45ACP hollowpoints. If it's dry, the paper clogs the hollowpoint and it punches through.
