Guess what the first web site I went to with my new computer was?  You know it!  AR15.com

It feels so good to get out of the stone age.  My old computer was 8 years old and could barely handle the stuff I used it for.  I can finally start playing cool games again.

In case you're interested, it's a Dell 2.66 Ghz Pentium 4.  1 gig of memory.  100 gigs of hard drive space.  High speed wireless internet access.  I'm in heaven!

Oooooooh. Aaaaaaah. Nice.

Got pictures?

Oh, and Dell sucks. Nice system specs, but Dell Customer Service sucks. They're based in India. You cannot understand 70% of the people they employ, even with their 'intensive' training in learning Americanized English.

Isn't it sweet.  I got my new one about a month ago from www.ibuypower.com.  They have great prices and good equipment but their service is not the best.  Been pleased as punch though.  A P4 2.53 with 1 gig of DDR400 and a Raedon 9500 Pro.  It is silver with two extra fans that really move air.  So sweet to be able to play games again.

Already finished Medal of Honor and the expansion pack and am to the "Irene" section of Black Hawk Down, as well as some online play.  Probably get my Ghost Recon back from my brother to go through that soon.

Moved the old computer to the wife's "office" and got a wireless router to send the internet there, so I don't have her bugging me for computer time. [:D]  Man, it is so sweet I think I just crapped my pants.

Congrats on the new computer.  Love mine, though it ate up the new gun budget for the year.

Pictures?  Well, when it's all set up I'll post one if you really want to see it.

I doubt I'll ever need Dell Customer Service for anything.  I probably know more than they do.

I plan on installing America's Army, Battlefield 1942 and any other good first person game I can get my hands on.  Mostly games I can play online.  I wont be installing Return to Wolfenstein or the Medal of Honor series since I've already beat them on my father's computer.

1 gig memory is cool.  I got 1024 ddr in my notebook.

Only 100GB Hard Drive?

Two computers - 282GB spread between them.
Wired the house with a good stable wired network, fast and does the job.

only 512MB of ram in the 1.33GHz athalon here, and 256MB in the 1.3GHz Duron. looks good, but you will need at least one more Hard Drive.. Last one to a Terabyte of storage loses(home computers only..mainframe/server people need not apply)

Seriously, great machine, you'll love it. should service you well for years.

Get the Intel upgrade goes something like P90 to 150mhz.  Remember those?

Intel PODPMT66X200 MMX Overdrive. If you have a Pentium 75, it will raise your speed to 150. Pentium 90, 120 and 150 will go up to 180MHz. Pentium 100, 133 and 166 will go up to 200Mhz MMX. 20 day warranty. Before ordering, you might want to check with your computer manufacturer if this overdrive cpu is compatible with your system.
