This is the pic and text from GreyGhost

This was sent to me from a friend of mine assigned to HQ 10AF (near Dallas/Ft. Worth, Texas).  Now THAT'S a "Big Kitty"!!!!  I wonder what Tweetie Bird would have said about this one...?

TEXANS.....LOCK YOUR DOORS :}

Remember this the next time you go out in your yard at night.-and this
is why Texans lock their doors. This guy killed this cougar recently in the
Aledo area, just west of Ft.Worth. He was hunting coyotes on the
Moncrief  ranch using a varmint call.
He was trying to sound like a wounded rabbit and instead of attracting
coyotes, he attracted this 252 lb. cougar. Obviously he (the guy)was the
victor. Per my source, this guy is about 6'2, not a small person. Look
at  the paws on this animal

Heck if that guy doesn't look like the same guy who shot that giant Grizzly bear(one that has made the rounds on the net) in Alaska.

Hmmmm....

This is one of those internet rumors.
Heres the real story on the cat.
He was killed near North Bend, Washington. Was called in with a fawn in distess call.Shot by a hunter guided by a man named JJ Hack, who did the calling. Rifle used was a 30-06 with 165 grain bullets. Weighed apout 200 pounds.
This comes from a very reliable sourse.
The story is on predatormasters.com. Look in the forums photo gallery.

I saw this picture a while back and was told it was a Texas cat.  And I said no way, first the damn thing has too thick a fur to live in Texas.  It would die of heat stroke.  Secondly no Texas cat would put on that much fat unless it was pen raised or lived where it gets damn cold and it don't get that damned cold here.

The only cougar I ever saw was in south Texas and would have probably gone 100. pounds on the hoof as it were.  However it did have a head like a basketball.

Try elk hunting in the fall in Utah and see those big-assed paw prints in the snow as your are coming in and out of the tree line. And people wonder why I carry a rifle & 1911 w/ 3 mags on me when I go hunting. I hate cats!
