I'm 6'3" tall and never did fit comfortably in the Toyota 4Runner I had for five years. Don't get me wrong: It was a great truck and didn't owe me a dime when I got rid of it.
But the seat never would slide back far enough for me to get my legs comfortable. The roof was too close to the top of my head, and I just felt cramped in there after a while, especially on the four and a half hour drive every weekend from Yuma, AZ to Anaheim, CA to visit my wife.
Now I've got a Dodge Durango, and it's really comfortable. It was built for a full sized American guy, not a smaller framed Asian guy. It's got the 360ci engine because it was the biggest one offered in the Durango when I bought it, and I could afford it. The bigger plant means colder AC when idling and faster off the line if that's what I want to do, and sometimes I do.
Whenever I spend money, I get the best quality I can. If I buy cheap, I know I'll be back to replace it shortly, and it aggravates me to know that I wasted my money the first time. I'd rather save up longer for the heavy duty one and buy it the first time. I've still got and still use knives, lights, a cordless drill/driver, guns and other gear that I bought ten or more years ago, because I spent extra for the higher quality or the heavier duty model. Why would I do anything different?
