From a Pitt Post-Gazette article:

Sen. Arlen Specter, R-Pa., facing a primary battle from the conservative wing of GOP in Rep. Pat Toomey, "is currently reviewing all aspects of the assault weapons ban," said his spokesman Bill Reynolds. Specter voted for the ban in 1994......

My first shot at voting will be in '04. I have met both Specter and Toomey in the past, and will not think twice about going with Toomey. But the real question is whether it's ever a better idea to vote for a DemonRat if the other choice is a RINO.
