I tried it earlier and couldn't get anything either. Kazaalite kept kicking me to MP3 Network

Try this if you like pop-ups:

WinMX has much better results, generally...

Try kazaalite k++ version from www.kazaalite.tk.
It has a few nice 'tools' in addition to kazaa.

I like winmx myself, but if you want kazaalite:

But never use straight kazaa. Tons of spyware programs are installed on your system and steal all your system resources.

I never could get WinMX to work through my firewall and/or router, so I tried KazaaLite.  Works great.

WinMX is nice but there is almost always a long queue line to wait in to get the stuff I want, and less people seem to have the same versions of files than Kazaalite (so you can get it from multiple people faster...)  I still use WinMX when I can't find what I'm looking for, but Kazaalite is one of the best working programs I've used...

For MP3s you are probably right. For full length movies nothing compares to winmx.

For popular stuff like the latest movies and current tv shows, try bittorrent:

http://bitconjurer.org/BitTorrent/

Bittorrent itself is just a file-sharing app for distributing access of large/popular files. It's great for legit purposes like spreading the load of new movie trailer releases or new linux ISO's.

You can find links for other downloads here:

though a lot of them are currently down.
