What's the wait like these days?  4,5,6, 7 months?

10 months for my first.

What date? Mine was in on 17 Feb. I'm pretty excited about my Hybrid but I fear it won't be done until end of August.

A friend's Saker Form 4 was sent in 1st week of January and just recently approved so figure July/August.

I sent in a Form 4 (Individual) for a suppressor on 1/18/16 and it was approved 6/16.  Haven't gotten the paperwork back yet.

Better than waiting for a year for ATF to tell the dealer "We never got the paperwork."  An entire fucking year pissed away and then we had to re-file.

But the check got cashed even though the paperwork was lost.

My longest wait was 19 months back in the 90's for a MG.  That was fun.  I had damn near forgotten about it until the stamp arrived.

Idk, but I got my first denial today on a form 1.

Apparently, even though it's in their own drop down menu, "ar15n4556 is not an approved model for noveske. So instead of being able to correct it, I had to file all over again. And wait 4 weeks for my refund. And it was electronic. Worthless agency is worthless.

I kind of want to file the paperwork to form 1 a full-auto capable 9mm can.      Dunno when I'd get around to building it, but I'd like to have the stamp now.

Guess maybe I should call about it or something.   Honestly, I forgot all about it until this thread.

I have a can filed in early February, an SBR in early March, and another can in April filed. The 2 cans are at the local gun shop waiting for the stamps. The SBR lower is built and engraved and just waiting on the stamp as well.

It's best just to forget about them.

LGS told me a week ago that a guy filed 3 form 4s on Jan 7th, got paperwork back on June 7th... 6 months to the day. Jan 7th was the day after Obama's speach, so I think wait times are going to increase to 8 months. I have March and June stamps pending :(

The concensus that I saw was 4 months for a form 1 and 6 months for a form 4. Efiling probably helps.

Can someone explain to me how the approval process timeline works? The disapproved form 1 I got today was filed less than 3 weeks ago. What takes place in between when they review the application, and when it is approved? Seems like a long stretch. Is this time in between spent on the background check/reviewing the trust?

Watch the ATF tracker sites to give you a better idea.

If you decide to call the ATF to check the status, have the serial number ready, otherwise they won't give you any info.
