Working on one for a friend. Looks like the points are shot. What is the gap for the points when we get new ones. Also, where is the timing mark? Thanks!

my 1966 Motor Manual doesn't go back that far, but the spec for 1959 F-head and L-head 4 cylinders is 20 thousandths. They may not have changed in that time.

hth,

Chris

hey, just looked at the motor manual again and realized there were "old car" specs in the back. The correct spec is .020" with a plug gap of .030"

btw, if you want I can scan in the page for you because it has other useful specs.

let me know.
