Some lyrics to sing:

THE INNOCENT TOY

1: It was a well-hid toy as toys went.
He'd never thought to look
under Daddy's pillow in their bed,
next to naked ladies books.
It was a real nice gift as toys went.
He would have been surprised.
But now he had found it unwrapped
and couldn't believe his eyes.

2: It was a heavy toy as toys went.
It took two hands to hold.
Maybe that's why all the policemen
used both hands in all the shows.
It was a well-built toy as toys went.
It looked real close to real.
No cheap plastic imitation,
this toy had been made of steel.

CHORUS:
Just a slight miscommunication
between a father and his three-year-old boy.
Just a slight miscommunication
about a father and his innocent toy.

3: It was a real great toy as toys went.
His brother looked really scared
as he joined the kids in the living room
to play like soldiers there.
It was a real loud toy as toys went.
It knocked them both right down.
But when the young tyke stood back up,
his brother stayed on the ground.
CHORUS:

BRIDGE:
Isn't it a bit peculiar
how many things have to be
imprinted with many warnings
in the interest of public safety?
"Keep out of the reach of children."
"Keep tightly under a lid."
Yet there wasn't word one on this obvious fun
for a non-reading little kid.
CHORUS:

Having a 3-year old makes me hypersensitive to this sort of stuff.

Even THAT creeps the shit out of me.

The only warning label I liked was Darwin's.

A song by Auntie Chorus

I ain't killed nobody, but I paid death penalty
the only crime I'm guilty of is ignoramity
I failed to get up off my duff and vote pro-gun control
and now my little body's home will be a six foot hole

I listened to the NRA, they told me it's their right
to arm the criminals that steal and break in in the night
to keep us safe from guns they bear we need to bear some more
and now I'll sleep within pine box, now safe for evermore

I wondered when the NRA would lobby Cap'tal Hill
and put responsibility for stolen handguns in a bill
for if they wanted safety they should want to have less arms
within the hands of criminals like those that did me harm

But all the NRA did say was "Amercians, unite!
They're coming for your handguns, yes - Mr. Saturday Night!
We told them that we're safer when we've got a gun to shoot"
and now my heads rests softly just beside a poplar root

The NRA did load disclaim statistics from abroad
which show that safety from born arms is nothing but a fraud
and lightning death more likely when the gun's just held by law
but that point's moot since he did shoot and blew apart my jaw

And let me tell you gently, something ol Chuck di'n't say
when that searing hot lead hit me, it hurt like f'n a
I didn't die too quickly, no, I had some time to rue
that all this might have never passed without Amendment Two

That document that keeps us free, to never pass safe laws
and keep the deadly weapons from the psychopathics' claws
and every year we mourn the deaths at schools across the land
and in the darkened parking lots, it's time to make a stand!

It's time to tell the GOP to give up all the cash
from NRA and gunsmiths' PACS which buy the laws they pass
it's time to heed the people, as they bleed and cry alarmed
return rule to the people, and strip the power from the armed

And let this be a lesson to folks who seem to nary care
who'd rather stay and home and watch Survivor or Millionaire
who never use the precious gift patriot's died to give
and cast a vote for gun control and cast a vote to live

Imbro, where do you find this stuff?  I know what you really think, and posting stuff like this surely gets our side motivated, but where do you get it?
