poodle mutt from the pound. She's only 8.5lbs. The wife and I live in a one bedroom apartment so a big dog is out of the question.

LOL, good point QuietShootr.... I meant no harm to my pitbull-owning collegues on the site. Just an opinion.... I just don't like pitbulls, nor do I like those yap-yap Alligator food breeds, nor do I like cats. |

Currently none, but in the past I started off with a rescued mutt, a golden lab, and a terrapoo in that order. All had great dogonalities.

We have a pure-bred Yellow Lab named Rigby! He's about 85lbs and is 3 years old. He great with kids and is always ready to swim and play fetch until his heart stops...[;)]

I have a Brittany.
She is a great family dog. About 40 pounds. Big enough to sound big, but small enough not to get out of hand. She is a great bird dog, and she will run squirrels too. She keeps the Canadian Geese out of the yard, too. |

I have a pure-bred lab. Oh bot is he a pin in the ass. I can't shoes on the ground becuase they will end up without laces or the pads will get ripped out of the bottom. He has a great personality.

I have an English/Pitt mix. I used to have a full pitt as well, but I had to give her away when I moved into a townhouse.
Once I have a house and some land again, I will own pitts. Although I also like the Rhodesian Ridgeback. |

I've got a 1/2 Rott, 1/2 Australian Sheppard. She is a great dog. Mean enough to keep the bad kids out, nice enough that all the good guys play catch with her all day long.
Also a Mastiff, Great Dane mix. She is cool too but pretty much a big assed porch dog. |

Keep in mind that many insurance companies will not write policies for you if you have certain breeds (even mixed) - like Rotts, Akitas, Chows, German Shepherds, Dobermans, etc.

Two blue eyed Siberian Huskies.
I used to have three but My male ran off 0r one of the farmers near by got tired of blue eyed pups every six months. Huskies are the coolest dogs. They dont bark or stink. The worst thing about them is when they shed. |

My first dog was a blue-eyed husky. I loved that dog but she always escaped and one day never came home.[>(]
Now I have the best dog ever. She is an American Eskimo. Beautiful, extremely loyal, obedient, not too big and not too small. Strangers don't understand how great she is because she only warms up to people she knows. She was almost killed by a Rottenwieller yesterday, but lucky for her she's quick and smart. edited to add: I don't hate Rots, but it seems like some Rot owners get a kick out of making there dogs agressive. |

We have 3 cockers and 1 springer. Wouldn't trade any of them. The springer is 12 and slowing down, losing his eye sight. One of the cockers whose my rescue and has seizures she's 9, buff cocker she's 8 and the black and tan cocker is 1. She's a handful. They all let us know when some one is around. The springer lets me know when the bear is around. Got to love em.

Shiloh Shepherd - just turned a year old and weighs 120 pounds. They are what you might call a "perfect" German Shepherd, bred for soft family temperament (but still quite protective), to eliminate the hip problems, high intelligence, and to be minimum 120 pounds for males, 100 pounds for females.
