My son-in-law got one.  I cleaned it up, refinished the stock, and generally fixed it up for him.

It shoots fine.

Iwas hoping to hear good things, thanks. I am refinishing the stocks, they are for my 10 and 12 year olds.

these are great little guns and a fantastic bargain.
mine are very accurate (1 moa or so)
on the down side, the scope rail is way too skinny for american scopes, the last round in the mag sometimes sticks, and the steel buttplate is slippery.
all in all, nothing insurmountable and a lot of gun for the money.

I have 2 and each of my friends has a least 1.
My experience is they are reliable and very accurate.

Very crude, but very accurate. I gave mine a bedding job and the damn thing will average a tad over 1/2 inch at 50yds using Wolf Match ammo. Feeding and extracting, however, have been a problem. Seems to be a problem with most I've seen. The feed problems have to do with the crappy Taiwanese mags that comes with the rifle. Does anyone have an original Romanian mag? I've never come across one. I'm still looking for a new extractor, as mine is worn and rounded. Parts are very hard to come by. I use it as a single shot right now.

I have one w/orig mag and 2 taiwan mags, a little work and the two taiwan mags work.

It shoots very accurate.

I paid $69.00 each. The finish is pretty good, I really think they are going to come out nicely.

Thats not a bad price for them. That is out the door pricing right. My dad bought one and I've shot it quite abit and have to say it is very accurate with it's iron sights. I like the fold down leaf sights. I wished the mags were cheaper. $9.00 a piece is almost 20% of the cost of the rifle.

I have 2 of the Romanian trainer .22 rifles. (Model m1969 actually) One was made in 1975, the other in 1982. Both are very accurate & were in excellent shape. I got them for $59 each since I bought 2 at the same time. I bought a total of 6 mags for them. 5 are Taiwanese, 1 is the original Romanian. No functional difference between them. These rifles are an amazing value & highly underrated.

I have two 69's, a 1978 and a 1988. Excellent little 22's,  very good triggers And very accurate with iron sights !!!

If you need slings, the chinese SKS slings with the leather tongs/straps ? on each end work perfectly on these rifles and are cheap.
