Back on pre-ban.com TigerStripe had a good idea to contact "conservative" talkshow hosts and voice our opposition to Bush's stance on the AWB.
So in addition to contacting the Prez and your Congresscritters, here's some contacts for the 'movers and shakers' in conservative talkshows to keep up the buzz:

Subject: "Assault Weapon" Ban -
Dear (name),
When President Bush recently restated that he supported the "current assault weapon ban" he put his re-election in jeopardy.
This issue is growing day-by-day as is the opposition to ANY new "assault weapon" bill among millions of gunowners - including the NRA. Our 2nd Amendment right to bear arms specifically DOES include 'military-style' firearms - a fact the Supreme Court has affirmed in 1939 (US v Miller) and again in 1980 (Lewis v US).
If President Bush signs ANY extension or expansion of the "assault weapon" ban, he will NOT be re-elected in 2004. Period.
Gunowners are growing stronger, more organized, more vocal and more active. The "gun-control" issue was a major factor in the success of conservative Republicans in both the 2000 and 2002 elections and will continue to be so in the future.
I do hope President Bush doesn't forget about that fact - or else he can just forget about being re-elected too.
Sincerely,
The_Macallan.

As far as contacting Congresscritters, email is probably nothing but spam to them.
And snailmail is almost just as bad!
Check out this warning on Orrin Hatch's website:
"To protect mail handlers from anthrax, all congressional mail is being diverted to either Ohio or New Jersey for anthrax screening. This new mail procedure has caused significant delays, with some letters taking [red]months[/red] to arrive at our office."

Send letters for sure - but MAKE PHONE CALLS TOO - every month!! (or every week even)
And when you call your particular representative, ask for a written response specific to your concern, i.e. "assault weapon and high-cap magazine ban". (they probably won't give written responses to nonconstituents but it doesn't hurt to ask)
