heres one of mine.

guy in the honda accord ex was 7 miles down the wrong road when he figured out he needed to take another road so he decided to turn around..............stopped in the highway turnaround, at the last minute he decided he could beat me, nope.

this wasnt a rear end, it was a t-bone that was offcenter, i hit him from the side and drover over the rear of his car, you can see where i peeled the rest of the car off of the rear frame

i was in a '98 454 3/4 ton extended cab that didnt have enough time to stop.  end result, he went to jail, dont think he was drunk, i think he was high.  even a drunk wouldnt have though getting run over was funny, this guy did.

i know im not the only one that takes pics of these things, lets see yours

OK Here's the story, My wife goes to pick up a pizza. As she pulls into a parking space she decides it will only take a second so she leaves the van running (I know, i can't beleive it either). She thinks she puts it in park but actually it's in reverse. The front tire was in a depression in the parking space so the van stayed put, at first... As she's getting the pizza the van takes off on it's own and heads for a major four lane road. Luckily the tires were turned so it cuts a big circle instead, hitting a parked car and finally coming to rest in the side of a Subway.

interesting story on the van, but hey, at least it was simply at idle.......not exactly a high speed accident!!!

well, my truck was fine nix a cracked grill, cracked headlight, bent hood bumper and right front fender, but at least i didnt just spend all kinds of money on accessories for it like the guy with the dead supercharged car..............i did however, wash and wax the bastard that same day though

keep em coming, keep em coming

Here's my car, before bad things happened to it:

My wreck story: Interstate with 4 lanes going in the same direction, I'm in the right-middle lane. We're at a pretty much dead stop along with the far right lane. Traffic in left-middle and far left lane is going about 60mph. I wait for my oportunity and then accelerate into the left-middle lane. I have about 5 car-lengths in front of me before the next car. In order to let other people do the same thing I did, I intend to get in the far left lane. There's a truck there, but I think that I may be able to squeeze in. I spend just a little too long looking over my shoulder. Look back in front of me and that car that was 5 car-lengths up going 60 is not 3 car lengths, dead stopped. Hit the brakes, swerve left, the car starts to go left then the front tires lock and it goes straight into the back of him. He's in a late-model Lincoln Continental, I'm in a '95 T-Bird/. It cracked his rear bumper cover. Here's what it did to my car:

We had our seatbelts on, so I'm not sure what broke the windshield. I'm speculating it was either my hand or the airbag. Fortunately, even though he had several children in his car, there were no injuries. My fiance` and I had minor injuries on our hands from them hitting whatever it is that you hit in a wreck.

Wow Beer only 15 inches off the ground?  You must have set a new altitude record in Alabama.

Sereiously, I wish I had pics of this, but the second day I had my new mustang, there was an accidental deployment of the airbags.  No damage just a little curb rash on two rims.  Now here's where I flew off the handle when the Dealer told me he was doing me a favor and reported it to my insurance behind my back, and my insurance co approved a repair!!!!!!!!!!  Needless to say after the dealer body shop replaced both air bags, two rims, and two airbag sensors, I picked up insurance with a different company, and I have never gone back to that dealer

Believe it or not I've had four in my old car..poor thing.  1st was $2100 worth of damage, 2nd was $400, third was $1500 and the last one totalled it with a little over $2400 of visible damage.  And...none of these wrecks were my fault!!!!  Although I must say 3 of the other drivers that hit me were women...oh well.  Wish I had taken pictures now.

Here's pic of a Mitsu Montero Sport that I used to own:

Very nice SUV and the shop that fixed it put it back together better than new.

It was a Tuesday. Feb 2nd 2000. I had just picked up the wife from her office and we were on our way to see the lawyer about adopting a child. We were one block from my wife's office when the lady pulled out in front of me at an intersection.

I saw her sitting there. I had just got to the crossing when she pulled out. She never looked my way. In the top picture, the truck is pointing at you. Actualy, when I hit her, I had tried to turn in the direction of the street you see there. So my truck swung back about 130 degrees.

No she did not have insurance (big surprise) and I found out that my agent had changed my policy a couple of years earlier and so I was pretty much screwed.

no pics of this one, they hauled the car off somewhere special, but some bitch in a geo metro rear ended my 2001 496 4x4 crew cab chevy while i was stopped for a friggins school bus the other day, killed the car, my truck sustained a broken right exhaust bracket and a slightly bent bumper, no sheetmetal damage whatsoever.

she had no insurance whatsoever, the car was so far under my truck that my rear bumper broke out her windshield

My wife just got rear ended a month or so ago.  A line of cars were stopped (including her in the rear) and a guy in a van plowed into her from the rear hard enough to total the van, her car, and the car in front of her.  And damange 2 more cars in front of that.

Turns out the guy who hit her didn't have insurance.  Anyway, so now she's driving my car, and I'm riding the motorcycle to work.  BTW I've been riding about 5 years now.  Three freakin weeks after her wreck guess what happens:

I lowsided while taking a turn too hot (stupid me).  All the damage you see is from the bike getting his by a car coming the other way after I went down.  BTW the bike is totalled [:(].

This was about 20 years ago but I hit some loose gravel going about 60 around a sharp corner. I remember the rear end spun around and I went off the curve backwards. I woke up 20 feet behind the car wrapped around a pine tree. I went through the rear window and in the air until I hit the tree. My neck hit the spoiler and I had a burse that was a copy of the pine bark on my shoulder. Beside the burses the only thing wrong was a cut in the scalp that needed 7 stitches.

February, 1979

I was driving down the road with a friend in the car, when a little old man who is pulling out of his driveway suddenly looses control and crosses left of center and plows diagonally right into us.

It turns out that he had a hook in place of one of his hands, and that somehow got tangled up in the steering wheel of his AMC Gremlin.

My friend Don's melon hit the windshield so hard that he had a headache for two days afterward.  The '67 Tempest had no seatbelts, but back then we probably wouldn't have worn them anyway.

Summer, 1980

Me and a couple of friends use a sledgehammer and an axe to destroy a 1973 Vega in the backyard of my parent's house when they weren't home.  We tore the driver's door off, too.  The car was destined for the junkyard the very next day, so we figured "What the Hell?"

Well, when my parents returned home and saw the damage, my father was so pissed that he went totally white in the face and was screaming, spitting and stuttering.  My friends abruptly left...

...and that's all I'm going to say about that.

Either the Dallas or Arlington, TX police departments are having words with Ford because their Crown Vics keep bursting into flames whenever they're rearended. Apparantly one officer died, and Ford came out with some sort of insulating matt to go near the gastank and prevent the problem, but yet another car burned just the other day even with the retrofit.

SeaDweller - It was a built up 4.6 with a Novi 2000.  I don't know the specifics on the motor but it was a nice chunk of change and he was looking for low 10's in the 1/4.  The car was done for about 2 or 3 weeks before the accident.  He's spent the last year and a half getting another Mark VIII and this time going all out (full race cage, motor, etc).

I like the story about the wife and the van.

One time when I was 3 or 4 years old my mom left me in the car with the car running.  I crawled into the driver's seat and put the car in gear.  Luckily she was on the way back with her groceries and saw the car start to move.  She had to open the door, get in and stop the car all while it was moving.  [:D]

I've got everyone but Norman beat.  I have no place to host my pics, so I can't show 'em.  Fractured radius and ulna, (nearly severed wrist), Collapsed lung, crack in C4 vertabra, unconscious for 12 days. Well, I actually walked three miles to an intersection and stood in front of several cars in the road to get help.  Finally, I got in front of a trucker and he contacted DPS and they found me unconscious in the ditch.

I was coming home from work late one evening and someone in a big pickup truck hit me from behind.  I was going about 40 mph and I estimate the truck was going about 70 mph.  For a split second, I saw the truck coming up on me fast, but I didn't have time to react.  It knocked me off the road and I was facing the opposite direction when I finally came to a stop.  Luckily, I wasn't hurt.  The asshole that hit me just kept going.  He didn't even check to see if I was still alive.  I figure he was drunk.  The 2 "after" pictures were taken after I had pulled the rear corner out so the wheel could turn.  The wreck completely shattered the rear window and left rear side window.

Nothing like losing traction on a road going 90, jumping the ditch and hitting trees 10 feet off the ground.  I'm guessing about the speed, I have no memory of it. That was my usual speed in the area where I had the wreck.  Once I left the hospital and was ambulatory I went and saw the marks in the trees nine to eleven feet high.

I did the same thing when I was three.  Mom left her '81 Grand Prix running with me in the passenger seat.  I crawled over and pulled it into Drive.  Pushed my grandfather's '78 Chevy half-ton stepside into the creek.  Did something like $3000 damage to the Grand Prix, hurt nothing but the rear bumper on the truck.  Wish I had photos.

I've not been in that many wrecks (knock on wood), but the most recent was the worst.  Was coming to a stop at an intersection, truck in front of me was making a left turn across traffic.  Looked in my rearview mirror to see an early 90's F150 coming on quick.  Tried to get out of the road so he wouldn't rearend me.  He saw me stopped and hit his brakes.  The person in the 99 Cavalier behind him didn't.  The Cavalier hit the back of the F150 with such force that it knocked the rear end of the truck about 10' into the air.  Rear bumper of truck was sitting on the dash of the Cavalier.  Knocked the truck into my car (90 Olds Cutlass).  Only damage to my car was a paint mark on the bumper and the rear view mirror was knocked off the windshield.  I can still see the back of that truck flying into the air.

I was fine, wife still has neck problems due to that wreck.  Two years later and it still bothers her.
