"Bling-bling" will soon be entered into the Oxford English Dictionary. What started out as hip-hop jargon has turned into slang. And it's not just for teenagers. CNN Headline News can't get enough of "bling-bling." Listen carefully and you'll hear it on ESPN commercials.

Good!

Mainstreaming that shit will be its deathknell.

Remember what happened to "def"??

Back in the early 90s a bunch of gangsta crappers actually had a funeral ceremony for the word when it was placed in the dictionary. Al Sharpton attended too IIRC. [@:D]

CNN is a buch of coppycatters, ESPN, wel the've been using slang and hip-hop teerms for a long ass time started with Stewert Scott and Dan Patrick, and that idiot that should never have left to do "serious" journalism whats his name.....oh Killbourn, though he can still be funny as hell some times. Why would you be suprised that they'd put that crap in the dictinary? Theres lots of slang terms that are in now.

A gold-plated MP-5 is bling-bling.

In short, if a 1970's pimp can be pictured wearing/using it, it's bling-bling.
