BOSTON - April 20

National guard units seeking to confiscate a cache of recently banned weapons were ambushed on April 19th by elements of a para-military extremist faction. Military and law enforcement sources estimate that 72 were killed and more than 200 injured before government forces were compelled to withdraw.

Speaking after the clash Massachusetts Governor Thomas Gage declared that the extremist faction, which was made up of local citizens, has links to the radical right-wing tax protest movement. Gage blamed the extremists for recent incidents of vandalism directed against internal revenue offices. The governor, who described the group's organizers as "criminals," issued an executive order authorizing the summary arrest of any individual who has interfered with the government's efforts to secure law and order.

The military raid on the extremist arsenal followed wide-spread refusal by the local citizenry to turn over recently outlawed weapons. Gage issued a ban on private ownership of weapons and ammunition earlier in the week. This decision followed a meeting in early this month between government and military leaders at which the governor authorized the forcible confiscation of illegal arms. One government official, speaking on condition of anonymity, pointed out that "none of these people would have been killed had the extremists obeyed the law and turned over their weapons voluntarily."

Government troops initially succeeded in confiscating a large supply of outlawed weapons and ammunition. However, troops attempting to seize arms and ammunition in Lexington met with resistance from heavily-armed extremists who had been tipped off regarding the government's plans.

During a tense standoff in Lexington's town park, National Guard Colonel Francis Smith, commander of the government operation, ordered the armed group to surrender and return to their homes. The impasse was broken by a single shot, which was reportedly fired by one of the right- wing extremists. Eight civilians were killed in the ensuing exchange.

Ironically, the local citizenry blamed government forces rather than the extremists for the civilian deaths.

Before order could be restored, armed citizens from the surrounding areas had descended upon the guard units. Colonel Smith, finding his forces overmatched by the armed mob, ordered a retreat.

Governor Gage has called upon citizens to support the state national joint task force in its effort to restore law and order.

The governor has also demanded the surrender of those responsible for planning and leading the attack against the government troops. Samuel Adams, Paul Revere, and John Hancock, who have been identified as "ringleaders" of the extremist faction, remain at large.

Lexington is now one of the most anti-gun towns in Massachusetts.

I remember reading a story a couple years back about an Olympic shooter who brought his target gun into either Lexington or Concord when he moved in, and had the police confiscate it when he went to ask about Mass gun laws and what he had to do to be legal.  Don't remember too much more in the details, I believe it was confisacated either because it wasn't on the list of approved guns, or because he hadn't gotten a permit issued yet and the time to do so had expired. Any other Mass people fill in the details.

6. Centralization of the means of communication and transportation in the hands of the State
We call it the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) and Department of Transportation (DOT) madated through the ICC act of 1887, the Commissions Act of 1934, The Interstate Commerce Commission established in 1938, The Federal Aviation Administration, Federal Communications Commission, and Executive orders 11490, 10999, as well as State mandated driver's licenses and Department of Transportation regulations.

7. Extention of factories and instruments of production owned by the State, the bringing into cultivation of waste lands, and the improvement of the soil generally in accordance with a common plan.
We call it corporate capacity, The Desert Entry Act and The Department of Agriculture. As well as the Department of Commerce and Labor, Department of Interior, the Evironmental Protection Agency, Bureau of Land Management, Bureau of Reclamation, Bureau of Mines, National Park Service, and the IRS control of business through corporate regulations.

8. Equal liablity of all to labor. Establishment of Industrial armies, especially for agriculture.
We call it the Social Security Administration and The Department of Labor. The National debt and inflation caused by the communal bank has caused the need for a two "income" family. Woman in the workplace since the 1920's, the 19th amendment of the U.S. Constitution, the Civil Rights Act of 1964, assorted Socialist Unions, affirmative action, the Federal Public Works Program and of course Executive order 11000.

9. Combination of agriculture with manufacturing industries; gradual abolition of the distinction between town and country by a more equable distribution of the population over the country.
We call it the Planning Reorganization act of 1949 , zoning (Title 17 1910-1990) and Super Corporate Farms, as well as Executive orders 11647, 11731 (ten regions) and Public "law" 89-136.

10. Free education for all children in government schools. Abolition of children's factory labor in its present form. Combination of education with industrial production, etc. etc.
People are being taxed to support what we call 'public' schools, which train the young to work for the communal debt system. We also call it the Department of Education, the NEA and Outcome Based "Education" .

So I ask you...does changing the words, change the end result? By using different words is it all of a sudden OK????? We are so "smart," aren't we??

It's not that we're so smart, ar10er, and I know you know that, we as a society are just so civilized and comfortable.

You are correct to a point, but I believe there is more to it. Afterall, you can not enslave an armed man.

I think you're giving our elected officials too much credit.  They pass laws by making deals on golf courses, bars, whorehouses, and while on junkets provided for them by us the taxpayer.
They for the most part don't study issues or the Constitution, they have staff.

Is there a lawyer here who can explain why we ignore our own precedents?

The thing I find the most dishartening about the quotes I posted, is that people on here are constantly tring to come up with a letter to send their congress critter,

when all we should need to do, is to remind them of the above quotes and rulings. And there are many more!

Heh, heh. I cite the "10 planks" often. I made a list remarkably like yours in my copy of marx. People react with shock, then denial, just like any other disease.
AR10er, we may think alike. You are correct, the people bringing up these laws are not stupid. They know precedent, and ignore it, 'cause they know it's not taught in "their" schools. They know EXACTLY what they're doing, but count on the fact that 99% of Americans will not get it. They are correct. Every American generation for the last 150 years has "compromised", and ignored the signs. Even now, most will vote repub even if AWB is re-authorized.. Interesting eh??
