Yep. I'll be watchin. I have a feeling we'll get a few Darwin's tonight, what with the eclipse and all. "Our savior has come! Drink your cyanide fellow worshipers of satan!"
Something like that. Anyway, enjoy the eclipse!

Weather permiting, I will be up. I have photographed
it before with multiple exposure on one fram of film.
Turmed out to be a cool shot.

Its too cloudy here also.
I did see one back in the 80's Be advised its not like what you see in the movies. It takes a LONG time! Way too long to keep kids interested. I was wounded at the time and had nothing better to do than sit up against a fence and drink Amaretto.

It is WAY cool though!

Got the data sheet from the USNO for Savannah, outside work watching, and at 2158 (4 minutes before teh moon was too enter umbra ????) a cloud cover moves in from the south. Damnit, damnit, damnit!

Watching it now... It has passed the main shadow and is now beginning to "blank out" - I have quite the handle on astronomical terms ehhh....
I'm gonna watch it till it reappears.

For those who are overcast, daylight, sleeping, or out of area, here is what the eclipse looked like at 10:45 pm CST. Sorry for the blur, it seemed to move a bit on a 8" shutter speed..
