This is what you get when the President comes out and says "I support a renewal of the ban."

Of course it's going to lead questions like this.  It's a perfect way for the anti's to play it up... "Mr. President, if you've gone on record supporting a renewal of the ban,  why aren't you out there pushing your party to pass a bill to do so?"

If they won't allow a bill to come to vote, it's functionally DEAD.
