Looking for a camp axe.  Intended purpose is for the truck and making campfire kindling.  I like the durability of all metal handles and had been used to an Estwing 13".

Before I make this simple and get an Estwing, what other axes should I also consider?  Where should I get it?

I've had an old craftsman hachet since my boy scout days.  So 15 years later I still use it and no problem.  It is all steel with a ruberish grip.  That was the only one I ever had so I can't tell you any thing else.

I like the gerber axes quite  a bit ( actually made by fiskars )...

they are well balanced , light to pack along and take an edge well....
