Just how much of a difference is there between the two products, and just how difficult are they to work with?

I have a custom Tomahawk & knife that I would like to make sheathes for, as well as a cover of sorts for my AR.

I've heard they are relatively easy to mold, but is there a recommended way? Is a 2 piece or 1 piece sheath better? And where is a good source (other than Ebay) to get a few small pieces for small projects?
